Thom Browne
Honorary Chair
Thom Browne opened his doors in the fall of 2001, offering made-to-measure suiting alone. In Spring/Summer 2004, Thom Browne took his first step into ready-to-wear. All of the items from his ready-to-wear collection continue to be hand-made, but simply pre-made for the customer who values quality, fine detailing and a fresh vision. In November 2006, the original “by-appointment-only” shop in the Meatpacking District relocated to Tribeca which accommodates both private appointments for custom clients as well as essential Thom Browne ready-to-wear items such as grey suits, navy sport coats, shirts, ties and shoes.
In the fall 2007 season with an invitation from Brooks Brothers, Thom Browne introduced a collection called Black Fleece by Brooks Brothers for men and women as part of their newly introduced creative concept laboratory. An opportunity to design a line of men’s jewelry also arose in fall 2006 through Harry Winston, which was launched in fall 2007. Most recently, Browne was appointed to design Moncler’s new men’s collection called Gamme Bleu which unveiled in January 2009 during Men’s Fashion Week in Milan.
Thom Browne is the recipient of the 2006 CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award, finalist for the National Design Award from the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum for 2006, 2008, and 2009, the Rising Star Award for Menswear by FASHION GROUP INTERNATIONAL for 2005 and the runner-up prize of the 2005 CFDA VOGUE FUND.

Cat Greenleaf
Co-chair
Cat Greenleaf’s had a strange career.
She started out as an airborne traffic reporter for KGO radio in San Francisco in 1999. It was an odd job for the New York native, because she has no sense of direction…at all. Yet she made her way back to the East Coast and onto NY1 doing traffic in 2000, then segued into hard news reporting for RNN TV in Queens. Again, a tough fit, as she found herself telling jokes more than telling the facts. Lucky for Cat, NYC TV took notice, and gave her a shot doing her own lifestyle segment, “On the Prowl with Cat Greenleaf”, a self-produced weekly spot, humorously highlighting all the unique activities, characters, and quirky traits that define New York City.
These sharp pieces were an instant hit and quickly won Cat a national daily spot as a “roving craft reporter” on DiY Network’s Craftlab. Her upbeat jaunts into cities across the country led first to host her own show on the Travel Channel, Vacation Home Search, and then to hosting a second travel show on Treasure HD, Chasing History Home.
Cat then moved over to WNBC, where her main gig was the station’s Features Reporter, primarily on Today in New York and the 11 O’Clock News. Her spots were seen on affiliates around the nation, as well as on the national Weekend Today Show, New York Non-Stop, and in all the WNBC taxi cabs around New York City.
Shortly after the birth of her son, Primo, Greenleaf began living the ultimate dream for a working mother: shooting a show on her front steps. Her program, Talk Stoop with Cat Greenleaf, is a celebrity interview show where the stars stop by to drink coffee and spill the beans. Talk Stoop is now airing in NY, DC, Chicago, Philly, Miami, Dallas, LA, San Francisco, and San Diego. Between broadcast, digital, and out-of-home platforms like screens in cabs and on gas pumps, Talk Stoop is viewed nearly 13 million times a week.
Talk Stoop has given way to two more celebrity based shows: Lean In with Cat Greenleaf, an interview show shot in Cat’s kitchen, and Cause Celeb, a documentary style series profiling today’s stars and the issues they care about most.
Greenleaf is also the founder of LUSTBKLYN (Look Up Stop Texting), a small clothing and accessories line which promotes sanity in texting. Her goal is to recruit you to be a part of the LUST Revolution: Stop Texting, Start Living!
Cat lives in Brooklyn with Primo, her husband, Michael Rey, an investigative producer at the CBS Evening News, and their phenomenal mini-Daschund, Julio, who is unemployed.
